I hear you!   That was me!  

Until one day when I was invited by a group of ladies to join a "wine and canvas" party🍷🎨... (I only understood the "wine" part😅, and had no idea what "canvas" was supposed to mean...) Apparently we were to paint a C-130, a cargo military airplane that our husbands' unit was flying.  And so with guidance of an art instructor we all painted an airplane! 

Was mine a masterpiece worth displaying in Louvre? - Of course not! 🤣

BUT... I had painted something I didn't know I was capable of! I remember how the instructor showed me how to make "clouds", just a few swirls of white against blue and BAM!!! Clouds! wow... and it was so enjoyable!!!!

That experience opened up a new world to me! I, who had never painted before, created something that resembles an airplane! (by the way, there were NO LINES traced, it was all FREE HAND).

Since then I’ve created countless paintings and taught thousands of people through my in-person paint parties and online video tutorials.

Hi, I’m Nelli—the artist behind Happy Cloud Art Studio!

I’m a self-taught artist with a passion for creating original paintings inspired by landscapes, seascapes, and all things nature. I absolutely love sharing what I’ve learned—my skills, experiences, and creative process—but most importantly, I love helping others discover that they, too, can create art they’re proud to display and enjoy the process along the way!

My painting journey began back in 2015 at a paint party where an instructor guided us step-by-step through a painting. I was amazed at what I created—especially considering I had never painted before! That experience opened up a whole new world for me—one filled with art, creativity, and a sense of accomplishment I didn’t know I was missing.

From that moment on, I dove into painting tutorials, practiced endlessly, and explored all kinds of techniques to sharpen my skills.

Since then, I’ve created countless paintings and taught thousands of people through my in-person paint parties and online classes. And now, I’m thrilled to offer carefully crafted, step-by-step video tutorials designed to take you from “I’ve never painted before” to “Look what I made!”
